The Library Foundation was formed in November of 1985 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Members of the Foundation adopted by-laws in January of 1986. Since that time the Foundation has worked to raise funds to support the activities and needs of the Battle Creek Public Library.Donations are tax-deductible.Contact information is listed above.

The Foundation's current major project is remodeling the former United Methodist Church building pictured on the home page of the library website. Our largest donation to date came from the estate of Florence Michaelson. The Foundation raised $248,000 for the Building fund. The Foundation paid $48,001 for the church after it closed. The final papers were signed on October 7, 2009, and remodeling began that day.

If you are interested in donating to this new project, a form to send with your donation is found at Donation Form.
